IHYA’ RAMADAN COLLEGE CANSELOR 2024 : MADRASAH RAMADAN IS BACK FOR COLLEGE CANSELOR RESIDENTS.

UPM SERDANG – The Ihya’ Ramadan program for College Canselor 2024 was successfully implemented with the cooperation of several parties. The program took place throughout the month of Ramadan, starting from March 17, 2024, until April 5, 2024, at College Canselor. It involved 50 asnaf and B40 students, as well as all residents, fellows, and staff of College Canselor.

The program was carried out based on the concern of fellow Muslims to fulfill the activities of Muslims who wish to attain as much reward and blessings as possible by engaging in various beneficial activities throughout the month of Ramadan, while also strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among fellow Muslims.

Several subprograms under the Ihya’ Ramada Program College Canselor 2024 session were successfully implemented, including the Cooking Bubur Lambuk Program, the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony, the Halaqah Al-Quran Gathering, Congregational Terawih and Witr Prayers, and the Presentation Ceremony of Iftar Contributions for College Canselor.

As soon as students returned to the college from the semester break, Congregational Terawih and Witr Prayers were held in the College Canselor Hall every night throughout the month of Ramadan. Many students participated in attending the hall together to perform the main worship during the noble month of Ramadan.

On Thursday, March 28, 2024, the Ramadan Quran Circle (HAQ) session was held. This program was organized in collaboration with the Global Quran Study Group. A total of 30 participants were involved in making this program a success. Among the activities carried out were the review of prayer recitations and correct prayer procedures. Participants were provided with Ramadan kits containing learning materials such as pens, notebooks, bags, the Quran, and also Eid money.

On Friday, March 29, 2024, the Quran Completion Ceremony was held. The program commenced immediately after the Tarawih prayer. Participants in the Quran completion included members of the College Canselor Student Representative Council and students of College Canselor, totaling 22 individuals led by Haikal, the MPK Secretariat for Unity and Spirituality. Additionally, 60 students from the College Canselor community also joined the event. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the Quran completion participants and a photo session as a memento.

On Saturday, March 30, 2024, the Cooking Bubur Lambuk program was successfully implemented in collaboration with the Civil Defense Student Corps (SISPA). The program began as early as 9 in the morning with the preparation of cooking ingredients such as washing chicken, rice, and cutting onions. Subsequently, cooking equipment was set up by the cooking student group. The cooking of bubur lambuk was guided by Ms. Siti Aishah, a highly experienced individual who is always a reference for students in cooking programs. In the late afternoon, after the bubur lambuk was cooked, the student group took over the task of packaging and cleaning. A total of 300 packets of bubur lambuk were successfully packaged and distributed to all College Canselor residents.

 

The presentation of bubur lambuk by Associate Professor Dr. Amini Amir to the representative of the College Canselor Student Representative Council, accompanied by the Director of the Bubur Lambuk Program, Adam, who is a representative from SISPA.

 

On Sunday, March 31, 2024, the Breaking of Fast Contribution Ceremony for College Canselor was organized jointly by the Multaqa Asatizah Dan Du'at Association (MURSHID), the National Preaching Council (MDN), and the Department of National and Civilizational Studies, Faculty of Human Ecology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The iftar contributions, in the form of iftar meals and moreh, were donated by MURSHID and MDN. A total of 50 asnaf students received this contribution, along with 150 food contributions distributed to all residents of College Canselor. There was also a brief reminder related to the month of Ramadan delivered by Ustaz Dr. Mohammad Nidzam Abd Kadir, a lecturer from the Faculty of Human Ecology. The program concluded with congregational Maghrib and Isyak prayers followed by congregational Sunnah Terawih and Witr prayers. May the contributors be blessed with abundant blessings.

 In conclusion, it is hoped that this successfully organized program can enhance the students' interpersonal skills and their effective capabilities in managing spiritual programs, especially during Ramadan. May this program be continued in the future with even greater success and enthusiasm.
