UPM SERDANG  –  Planting is not only about pursuing interests and generating income, but also about appreciating the creation of God. The Agri Care Clinic program exposes the correct method of growing vegetables. This Agri Care Clinic took place on November 25, 2023, and December 30, 2023, involving students from the Chancellor College, especially members of the KC Agro club. The program was conducted in the Chancellor College Hall and in the Malinja Garden.he program, organized by the Secretariat of Agriculture, Environment, and Agriculture, involved 56 students, 3 Fellows, and 1 lecturer invited from the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, who contributed to the success of the program.

This program is implemented with the aim of teaching the correct methods of planting trees, starting from handling seedlings to tree care. The program, which is not solely based on theory but also includes practical sessions, simultaneously provides guidance to students on planting trees correctly to prevent the death of the planted trees.

On November 25, 2023, last Saturday, the focus was on the proper care and handling of seedlings. Students were initially exposed to the theoretical aspects of how seedlings grow and respond to sunlight, water, gravity, and space. After that, practical guidance was provided, allowing students to observe, with the naked eye, how the seedlings grow and interact. The planted crops included corn, mustard greens, and water spinach.

On December 30, 2023, last Saturday, the focus was more on the proper transplantation of seedlings and the correct care of young plants. The needs and conditions of the plants were emphasized on this day to prevent them from dying due to a lack of nutrients such as water, fertilizer, and sunlight, as well as attacks from harmful insects.

Students are exposed to the theoretical aspects of the condition of seedlings and plants.
