CHANCELLOR COLLEGE – The Student Representative Council (Majlis Perwakilan Kolej, MPK) of Kolej Canselor for the 2025/2026 session successfully organized the Malam Anugerah Apresiasi Canselor 2026 (MAAC 2026) on Friday, 19 June 2026, at Dewan Sri Pulasan, Kolej Canselor, as a gesture of appreciation for students and organizations that demonstrated outstanding excellence throughout the year. The event brought together members of the Kolej Canselor community and award recipients to recognize students’ achievements in academics, leadership, co-curricular activities, volunteerism, sports, and organizational management. The organization of MAAC 2026 also aligns with the Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA) Strategic Pillars, particularly Campus Life and Graduate Employability, which emphasize the holistic development of students, enhancing their competitiveness, and preparing them for the professional world.

Throughout the evening, various awards were presented to outstanding individuals and organizations, including the Chancellor Service Award, Media Visibility Award, Best Programme Award, Best Secretariat Award, Best Club Award, Best Team Award, Aspiring Sportsman/Sportswoman Award, Aspiring Volunteer Award, Canselor Rising Star Award, and the Best Programme Director Award. Recipients were selected based on their performance, commitment, and significant contributions that positively impacted the development of Kolej Canselor and the university.

In addition to these awards, MAAC 2026 also presented the Principal’s Aspiration Award, Academic Excellence Award, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award, Aspiring Cultural Ambassador Award, and the Canselor Appreciation Award. These awards recognized students who excelled in academics, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, cultural activities, and those who made exceptional contributions to Kolej Canselor. The presentation of these awards reflects Kolej Canselor’s commitment to nurturing holistic, competitive graduates who demonstrate academic excellence, exemplary character, strong leadership qualities, and well-developed soft skills.

The organization of MAAC 2026 not only served as a platform to honour outstanding members of the Kolej Canselor community but also enhanced students’ confidence, motivation, and enthusiasm to remain actively involved in academic and co-curricular activities. Furthermore, the event fostered leadership values, positive character, and professionalism by recognizing the dedication and commitment demonstrated by students throughout the academic session.

Through the successful organization of this programme, Kolej Canselor also supports the university’s continuous efforts to strengthen its reputation as an institution that values talent, achievement, and the holistic development of its students. It is hoped that MAAC 2026 will continue to serve as a catalyst for cultivating a culture of excellence within the campus community while inspiring more students to contribute actively to the university and society.
