Chancellor College  –  On 27 June 2026, the College Representative Council of Canselor College for the 2025/2026 session successfully organized the Malam Gemilang Canselor (MGC) 2026. Malam Gemilang Canselor 2026 is an annual dinner held to celebrate the final-year students of Canselor College. It was organized to appreciate the services, contributions and excellence of these final-year students throughout their period of study and residency at Canselor College.

The event was further graced by the presence of a Member of the University Board of Directors, YBhg. Tuan Mohamad Sabrie Mohamad Salleh, as the guest of honor. His presence not only elevated the image of the event but also provided meaningful motivation to all college members, especially the final-year students who will soon enter the professional phase and the career world.

The vibrancy of the event began with the registration of the final-year students, who arrived looking elegant and dapper in attire tailored to the Masquerade theme. The Program Director of MGC 2026, Sir Hilman Zuhairi bin Wahiduddin, in his welcoming speech, expressed his utmost gratitude and appreciation to the entire committee who worked tirelessly to make the event a success. According to him, Malam Gemilang Canselor is not just an ordinary dinner, it symbolizes the college's highest appreciation for the perseverance, resilience and excellence demonstrated by the final-year students throughout their time under the wings of Canselor College. Following that, YBhg. Tuan Mohamad Sabrie Mohamad Salleh delivered the opening speech, in which he extended his congratulations to the final-year students for their grit and spirit in earning their degrees.

The most anticipated session for all attendees was the procession of the revolving trophy, which led to the award presentation ceremony of Malam Gemilang Canselor 2026. A total of six award categories were contested to recognize talent, leadership, sports, and academics. The Canselor Glory Award as the main award, the Canselor Gold Award, the Academic Excellence Award, the Leadership Excellence Award, the Cultural Award and the Principal's Special Award.

The atmosphere in the hall turned emotional when a representative of the final-year students stepped forward to deliver a special speech on behalf of their peers. The representative expressed deep appreciation to the management of Canselor College, the fellows and friends who had always been the ultimate backbone throughout their academic journey at UPM.

Overall, Malam Gemilang Canselor 2026 concluded successfully, recording an attendance of 164 people consisting of invited guests, committee members and final-year students of Canselor College. The successful organization of this event not only proves the high spirit of togetherness among the college community but also managed to leave behind the most beautiful memories that will never be forgotten by the final-year students before they step out to become alumni of Canselor College.
