THE STUDENT FORUM : EASTERN BANNER RESURGENCE

24 Mei 2024, Serdan, UPM – The Student Forum : “Eastern Banner Resurgence” is one of the sub-programs under the major program organized by the Chancellor’s College Representative Council, known as the Putra Chancellor Festival: Generation of Siswa Madani. This forum, titled "Eastern Banner Resurgence," aims to provide exposure and knowledge, especially to the students of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the surrounding Serdang community, about the current situation in Palestine.

The suffering experienced by the Palestinian people is increasingly difficult, and it has become the responsibility of the people in Malaysia to help them through solidarity, boycotts, and spreading awareness about the real situation happening there. Therefore, this student forum can somewhat show the support and awareness of UPM residents toward the Palestinian people. The Student Forum, held on May 24, 2024 (Friday), received a good response from UPM students and the Serdang community, with nearly 150 visitors attending and following the forum.

The forum was filled with informative and beneficial knowledge. Before the forum began, the recitation of Asmaul-Husna served as an opening for the smooth running of the forum. After the Asmaul-Husna recitation, the forum began with sharing sessions from two invited panelists, Ustaz Mohd Fadhly Hasbulah, better known as Ustaz Manis, and Ustaz Dr. Ashraff Amirul. The distinguished panelists shared with visitors the real situation happening in Palestine and reminded them to prepare themselves as best as possible to face the end times. Ustaz Manis and Ustaz Dr. Ashraff Amirul also shared three essential things for the success of Islam and practices for Muslims to face the trials of the end times. In the end, it is hoped that this effort will be the beginning of the spread of da'wah initiatives on the UPM campus and that the thoughts and prayers of all UPM residents will always be with the people of Palestine.
