KOLEJ CANSELOR - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) once again takes the lead in fostering close ties between alumni and the college community through the Softball Legend Alumni @ Homecoming XII 2024 Program, which was held with great enthusiasm at Football Field C, UPM.

The program was organized by the Alumni and Career Network Secretariat of the College Representative Council (MPK) of Kolej Canselor, in collaboration with the UPM Alumni Relations Centre, Kolej Canselor Management, the Sports Academy, and the Co-Curriculum and Student Development Centre. The primary goal of the program was to strengthen the bonds between alumni and college students while promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports activities.

According to the Program Director, Mr. Mirza Syah, the event not only served as a platform for alumni to reconnect but also provided them with opportunities to share experiences and inspire students.

“We want alumni to feel a sense of belonging to this college and university while fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and enhancing their social networks,” he said during an interview at the event.

He further added, “Activities like this encourage students to interact with alumni, enabling them to gain guidance and inspiration in career and life aspects.”

The program kicked off at 8:00 AM with registration, followed by softball matches that lasted until 5:30 PM, concluding with a prize-giving ceremony and the presentation of souvenirs to participants. The event was further graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including YBhg. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Aqlima Ahmad, Director of the UPM Alumni Relations Centre, and YBrs. Ts. Dr. Syed Agil Shekh Alsagoff, Principal of Kolej Canselor.

With over 100 participants, the program successfully achieved its goal of enhancing alumni engagement with the college while instilling a sense of sportsmanship among participants. The Softball Legend Alumni @ Homecoming XII 2024 Program is hoped to continue serving as a platform that strengthens the relationship between alumni and students, in line with UPM's motto, "With Knowledge We Serve."
