CHANCELLOR COLLEGE  – From October 18 to October 26, 2024, the program “Semarak Ukhuwah: Ini Canselor Kita” (ICK 2024) was held, organized by the Chancellor College Student Council for the 2024/2025 session in collaboration with the Chancellor College management team. The program aimed to welcome first-year students at Chancellor College, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), for the 2024/2025 session.

This program aimed to foster bonds of friendship among participants, serving as a medium for students to develop their talents through the application of soft skills and to identify potential talents within Chancellor College. ICK 2024 was a rebranding of the previous “Unity Of Canselor” and “Canselor’s Freshies O-Week” programs. Activities conducted throughout ICK 2024 included Seki’s Gallery Walk, KC Kita, Rumah Kita, the Canselor Block Meet and Greet, API Canselorian Mission, Sports Management Workshop, Canselor Joy Zone, Floor Sports (SUFLO), featuring two sports: netball for women and dodgeball for men, Dapur Rewang Canselor, and KC Got Talent.

The program received enthusiastic participation and full support from first-year students and other members of Chancellor College. The commitment shown by participants throughout ICK 2024 set a benchmark for the program’s success in fostering a more open and cohesive social network within Chancellor College, encouraging values of harmony and unity among students, fellows, and college management. Activities like KC Got Talent and SUFLO provided platforms for discovering talents in sports, culture, and public speaking, aiming to harness the diversity of talents among Chancellor College residents as a driving force for college and university excellence at higher levels in the future. 

In summary, the “Semarak Ukhuwah: Ini Canselor Kita 2024” program successfully met its goal of strengthening connections among new students and Chancellor College residents, providing a positive experience that nurtures a family spirit. It is hoped that programs like “Semarak Ukhuwah: Ini Canselor Kita 2024” can continue in the future with more enhancements to sustain the family spirit that forms the core identity of Chancellor College and becomes a tradition to celebrate the arrival of new first-year students.
