FESTIVAL MADANI KOLEJ CANSELOR 50 TAHUN

CHANCELLOR COLLEGE – The Festival Madani Kolej Canselor 50 Years (FESMA) was successfully organised by the College of Chancellor Representative Council (MPK) for the 2025/2026 session with great enthusiasm and received an encouraging response from the College of Chancellor community as well as students of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

This programme was led by the Vice President of the College of Chancellor Representative Council (MPK) for the 2025/2026 session, Ahmad Iqbal bin Mustafa, who also served as the Programme Director. FESMA was organised with the aim of strengthening bonds of friendship among the College of Chancellor community through various activities centred on food, healthy entertainment, sports, and student community engagement. In addition, the festival also served as a platform to showcase students’ talents, encourage creativity, and provide a more inclusive and enjoyable recreational space.

The festival was held for one week, from 20 April to 26 April 2026, at the Festival Madani Site of the College of Chancellor and its surrounding areas. Throughout the programme, various exciting activities were conducted to attract student participation. Among the main activities of FESMA were NgapNgap Fest, Haunted House: Room 404, Showcase Riuh Ritma, Battle of Arm, and Demam Karok, all of which received overwhelming response from the College of Chancellor community.

In addition to entertainment activities, FESMA also featured sports programmes such as the Canselor Penalty Tournament and the Canselor Futsal Tournament, which successfully fostered sportsmanship and teamwork among students. The programme also strengthened alumni relations through a friendly session with College of Chancellor alumni.

Notably, FESMA also received strategic collaboration from government agencies such as the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), involving the Criminal Investigation and Traffic Departments, as well as the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Hospital (HSAAS) through awareness exhibitions and information sharing sessions with students. This initiative added value in terms of safety and health education for the campus community.

One of the main attractions of the festival was the provision of free petrol for motorcycle users among UPM students, through collaboration between the Student Representative Council (MPP) and the Universiti Putra Malaysia Cooperative (KUPUTRA). This programme not only helped to ease students’ financial burden but also strengthened support for student welfare.

The closing ceremony of FESMA was held on 26 April 2026 in a grand and lively manner. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Paiman bin Bawon, Director of KUPUTRA UPM, who was the main sponsor for the free petrol initiative. His presence further enlivened the closing ceremony and marked strong support from the cooperative towards student-led programmes.

Overall, the Festival Madani Kolej Canselor 50 Years (FESMA) successfully achieved its objectives in strengthening social bonds, enhancing the spirit of volunteerism, and creating a more meaningful and competitive campus experience among UPM students.
