CHANCELLOR COLLEGE – Chancellor College participated in the English Language Festival (ELF) organised by the Centre for Applied Language and Communication (CALC) under the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication (FBMK) on 18 December 2025, from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. The programme involved the participation of Chancellor College students as official representatives of the college, with full support from the college management and the Student Representative Council (MPK). This participation aimed to enhance students’ proficiency and confidence in using the English language, while also developing their communication skills, teamwork, and overall personal growth through academic and interactive activities. During the festival, Chancellor College sent representatives to compete in the Booth category and the Mic’s Up category, both of which required creativity, effective communication, and active use of English throughout the programme. The college representatives successfully delivered engaging performances through the preparation of an interactive booth and active participation in speaking and interaction sessions with visitors. As a result of their strong commitment and teamwork, Chancellor College achieved second place in the Best Costume category, reflecting the students’ creativity and dedication in ensuring a successful participation. Overall, Chancellor College’s participation in the English Language Festival (ELF) had a positive impact on students’ academic development and personal character. The programme not only served as a platform for students to practise English in real-life contexts, but also strengthened the image of Chancellor College as an institution that actively supports intellectual development and student engagement at the university level. It is hoped that similar initiatives will continue in the future to produce students who are confident, competitive, and well-rounded.
