CHANCELLOR COLLEGE FIRE DRILL

CHANCELLOR COLLEGE – The 2025/2026 session of the Chancellor's College Fire Drill was successfully carried out on 19 December 2025 at Chancellor College, Universiti Putra Malaysia. A total of 96 members, comprising the college management, fellows, members of the Chancellor College Student Representative Council, Members of the Secretariat of Special Tasks, and the Civil Defense Student Corps, have been involved and collaborated in the success of the Building Evacuation Training for the 2025/2026 session.

During the session, various units were divided into committee members, while at the same time, to raise awareness among the residents regarding the knowledge to handle the situation in the event of a fire in residential blocks. For example, building evacuation units, traffic control units, logistics units, and firefighting units.

The fire drill also provides an opportunity for the students involved to know how to work in the event of a real fire incident. This provides early exposure to residents, especially from a safety aspect. In addition, this training also provides an opportunity for Civil Defense Student Corps Cadets to apply the knowledge learned as a member of the Civil Defense in working together to carry out the Building Evacuation Training.

The Chancellor's College Building Evacuation Training 2025/2026 ended with a discussion session after training from the security forces, namely the Occupational Safety & Health Management (OSH), University Health Centre (PKU), the Asset Development & Management Office (PPPA), and the University Assistance & Security Police Centre (APSeC).
