Functions and Roles of the MPK (Majlis Perwakilan Kolej)

The MPK (Student Representative Council) is responsible for planning and organizing structured and scheduled activities (Activity Calendar) for each student intake session. Their term of office lasts for one year and follows the academic session. The MPK is managed by the President, supported by the Deputy President, Secretary, Treasurer, Block Leaders, and Executive Members (Exco).

The selection of MPK members is based on the following guidelines:

  1. Candidates must have completed at least one academic session.
  2. Candidates must have participated in at least one course/activity organized by the college or university management.
  3. Candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 2.75, unless they are medical students or other specific cases where a CGPA of 2.5 is acceptable, subject to the discretion of the Principal.
  4. Candidates must not have been subjected to any disciplinary action.
  5. Candidates must not be tied up with industrial training, except for medical students.
  6. The selection and approval process is managed by the College management.
  7. The criteria for selecting each position within the MPK will be determined based on assessments made by the Fellows and the College management.
